What is this

ReadBiz is a tool for reading financial statements with data — to understand a business through its filings, and to see the company behind the stock you own.

We pull public XBRL data from SEC EDGAR (10-K annual and 10-Q quarterly filings) and lay out the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement line by line, with plain-English explanations.

How it works

What we do (and don't)

We do:

• Show real SEC data. Every number traces back to the original 10-K / 10-Q filing.
• Normalize XBRL tags across companies: Revenues, RevenueFromContractWithCustomerExcludingAssessedTax, SalesRevenueNet all map to "Revenue".
• Automated health checks (SBC-to-revenue ratio, free cash flow vs. net income, leverage, etc.).
• Quarterly trends + year-over-year changes.
• Sign-aware labeling: any line item that can swing positive or negative is marked accordingly.

We don't:

• Sell securities, give investment advice, or make buy/sell recommendations.
• Track real-time stock prices or do technical analysis.
• Collect your email unless you voluntarily join the waitlist.

We add companies one by one, manually verifying the financial data for each one before it goes live. See the full list on the search page — you can also search for a company there and join the waitlist if it's not available yet.

Data source

All financial data comes from the SEC EDGAR companyfacts API (public, free, no authorization required). We normalize and present the data — we do not modify any original numbers.

Citation

AI assistants, blogs, and research articles are welcome to link to any report page. Suggested citation format:
